Another Downtown Abbey exile
My wife is addicted to the show, and now that it in its third season I have been exiled from the living room while it is on the air. Fortunately, I took the opportunity to reacquaint myself with an old book that I haven't read for awhile, JRR Tolkien's The Silmarillion. Sort of the "Old Testament" for Tolkien's works -- it is the background mythology that underpins both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. Wonderful stuff -- makes me happy my wife has exiled me from in front of the television!
