I've changed the look of the blog. I hope you enjoy it! I was looking for something a bit more simple, and I was inspired by Ann Althouse's blog...
Also, my major projects at work are done and things will quiet down now until the end of the month when the madness begins again. Never a dull moment. Anyway, now that things are kind of back to normal, I hope to post some more involved posts than what I've been doing. I've been posting a lot of news posts, linking to stuff on other blogs, etc. I'd like to do some more thoughtful commentary-style pieces of my own in the near term. I've got a bunch of stuff I'd like to write about, so material isn't a problem. The problem is finding the time to post!

Looks good! There are a few blogs out there ("Blog Prof" is one and Carlos Echeverria's "Let's Get It Right" is another) that are so loaded down with videos and pictures, I can't even open them. They stall and freeze up my computer.
And I agree with your decision to just post your own stuff. I scour the news for the stuff I think is important and post links, but that leads to little time to write my own stuff (such as it is)...
Yeah, I wanted to simplify -- makes it easier to post. I've still got my portrait gallary up and the flags and such. And I'll post some video from Youtube from time to time, but I'm not going to clutter up the blog if I can help it...
I just can't keep up with finding the news stories on the web -- there's just too much. Plus, I'm spending too much time each day looking for news and posting it. News aggregator sites do a much better job of that than I can -- and I've already got a link to Instapundit on my website. So, I need to move the blog in another direction, I think.

I like that you've added the gray background insrtead of the initial white. There are a few blogs I read with that look, and I get them confused.
I like gray because it makes it easier to read the blog. The white background is just too bright...
